Google Chrome step-by-step guide
2. Right-click on any blank space on the page (not on an image or text)
3. Select "Translate to [your native language]" In the example, it says "Translate to English" which is the automatic setting of my browser. Your version may say "Translate to Español" for example.
4. A box will appear on the right side of your search bar
5. Click the three dots and select "Choose another language"
7. Click the blue "Translate" button
8. The page will now be in whatever language you chose
How do I translate a wiki page with other browsers?
Safari
1. Google Translate works if you highlight the text you want to translate and then right-click.
2. After you right-click select the language you want to translate to and the text will appear in the box
Microsoft Edge
Begin by selecting the icon on the right of the browser's top bar, as shown in the image below. This should prompt a small window to appear in the top right corner of your browser.
Select the arrow next to "English" in the window to prompt a drop-down menu of languages to appear. Scroll until you find your desired language and select it by clicking.
Once your desired language is selected, click the "Translate" button in the small window.
The page should now be translated into the selected language.
How do I change the default language of my browser?
Google Chrome
Select the ellipsis in the very top right corner of the browser window to prompt a drop-down menu. From this menu, select "Settings".
This should bring up the browser's settings page. Select "Languages" in the menu on the left side of this page.
This should open a new page. Select "Add languages" in the "Preferred languages" menu at the top of the page.
This should prompt a pop-up window. Scroll until you locate your desired language, then select the box next to it and click "Add" at the bottom of the window.
Your desired language should now be an option in the "Preferred languages" menu. Select the ellipsis next to your desired language, and click the box next to "Display Google Chrome in this language."
Click the "Relaunch" button to reload the browser, which should then display your desired language.
Firefox
Begin by selecting the three bars icon on the top right corner of the browser. Under the drop-down menu, select "Settings."
This should bring up the general settings page for the browser. Scroll until you locate the "Language and Appearance" section of this page.
Under "Language," click the arrow next to "English (US)." Select "Search for more languages..." in the drop-down menu.
In the pop-up window, click "Select a language to add..." and scroll until you locate your desired language. Select your language, then click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.
The browser should now translate to your desired language.
