The Mongolian locust (Oedaleus decorus) is a species of grasshopper that is primarily found in the steppes and grasslands of Mongolia and neighboring regions in Central Asia. As a herbivorous insect, it feeds on various grasses and vegetation, playing a role in the ecological balance of the grassland ecosystems. While not known for causing significant food security issues like some locust species, the Mongolian locust is still a notable agricultural pest.
