Biogeography

Map of the South Florida rocklands (NT0164) as previously determined by World Wildlife Fund (WWF), which since had its area split between the Bahamian-Antillean mangroves and Everglades flooded grasslands.

In the Ecoregions 2017 and Bioregions 2023 frameworks, the Bahamian-Antillean mangroves ecoregion was formed by combining four ecoregions previously recognized by World Wildlife Fund (WWF): the Bahamian mangroves (NT1403), Greater Antilles mangroves (NT1410), Lesser Antilles mangroves (NT1416), and a portion of the South Florida rocklands (NT0164).
