desert locust example "Locusts migrate between seasonal breeding areas. They are passive flyers that travel with the wind. Swarms fly during the day, starting in the morning as soon as the locusts are warm enough and they continue until just before sunset. Solitarious adults fly in the early evening. In a single day, swarms can fly up to 100-150 km at heights up to 2,000 m.[1] Swarms can fly continuously over water for 20 or more hours."
